Based on the Raga Malkons, Malx is a melodic electronic dance track that blends traditional styles of Indian classical music with new-age electronic sounds.

Featuring the beautifully tuned voice and range of Hyderabadi based singer Shrii, Malx is an amalgamation of Alboe’s diverse fusion melodic style and Shrii’s vocal prowess.

The lyrics of the song ‘Mere Yaar, Teri Yaad Aye’ (Translation : My Friend, I miss you) aim to depict the loss in the friend we have inside of us. Several times throughout our adult lives we find ourselves in a lull, incapable of energizing ourselves into action. During these times, it is all the more difficult to relax and recognise our emotions. The journey of the song tries to reclaim this disconnect within ourselves by ‘romanticizing self-love’.
